Stateside sales: The front-end revisions signal that Smart has developed the new Fortwo with US safety legislation in mind. Despite DC delaying on a commitment to official exports to the US, the number of independent importers setting up to sell Smarts in cities such as New York and San Francisco is no doubt persuading the company that there is the market for the tiny two-seaters.
